Lyra Services South Africa are recruiting a Business Intelligence & Consulting Reporting Analyst to support with international business requirements.
This is a full time role, working 5 days per week, based in South Africa.
Key Responsibilities:
- Reporting and analytics
- Elicit and document detailed customer and business reporting requirements.
- Translate business needs into functional and technical specifications that will guide the BI Development team and external service provider (online dashboard).
Data Analysis:
- Analyze data to identify trends, patterns, and insights.
- Format reports according to company guidelines.
- Utilize data to support informed decision-making for our customers, for the team and for the business.
Process Improvement:
- Evaluate and optimize existing BI & Consulting reporting and analytics processes.
- Identify areas for efficiency and value gains.
BI & Consulting processes modelling:
- Create and maintain BI & Consulting process models (flowcharts and/or diagrams).
- Support the development of data models to represent data entities and relationships.
Documentation:
- Prepare clear and comprehensive documentation, including business requirements documents, case studies and online dashboard guides.
Stakeholder Communication:
- Communicate with both technical and non-technical stakeholders to ensure alignment and understanding of analytics and reporting objectives.
Project Management:
- Participate in project planning and management, including defining project scope, timelines, and resource allocation.
Data Reporting:
- Generate reports and dashboards to support customer reporting needs and internal decision making.
- Utilise reporting tools and BI software as necessary.
Quality Assurance:
- Check accuracy of data and ensure that reporting and analytics meet quality standards and are aligned with the best practices.
Research, Industry and Technology Knowledge:
- Conduct regular research into employee wellbeing and mental health.
- Leverage the use of AI to enhance customer reporting insights.
- Ensure that there is dissemination of research into the team.
- Monitor the use of research as a guide for reporting recommendations and insights.
- Stay informed about industry trends, emerging analytics and reporting technologies and best practices related to business analysis.
Testing:
- Plan and conduct user acceptance testing (UAT) to validate that reporting solutions meet business requirements.
Continuous Improvement:
- Identify opportunities for process improvement and recommend solutions.
Collaboration:
- Collaborate with client services, fellow team members and the greater business to share knowledge and best practices.
Vendor and Tool Evaluation:
- Assess and recommend tools that can enhance BI&C reporting and analytics.
Requirements:
- Tertiary degree or diploma in Social Sciences/Humanities, Sociology, Health Sciences, Data Analytics, Science, Finance or Business Management.
- Minimum of 5 years’ data/information analysis, preferably in an EAP environment.
- Advanced Excel skills.
- Advanced PowerPoint skills.
- Report writing.
- Ability to craft meaningful insights and recommendations based on EAP data.
