Position Overview
The Director of Business Development is a key driver of growth for Boundless. In this role, you will lead our business development strategies, identify new opportunities, and ensure strong community engagement across current and future markets. You will oversee outreach and client relationship teams while collaborating closely with program and executive leadership to advance new lines of service, geographic expansion, and strategic partnerships.

Key Responsibilities
- Lead the design and execution of business development plans aligned with Boundless’ Strategic Plan.
- Research and analyze new market opportunities, prepare business cases, and present recommendations to executive leadership.
- Oversee integrated project management plans for new business ventures, including marketing, outreach, and operational support.
- Supervise and develop Outreach Managers and Client Relationship Specialists to drive program enrollment and community engagement.
- Build strong relationships with referral sources, stakeholders, and community partners to expand awareness and participation in Boundless programs.
- Collaborate with Communications to ensure consistent messaging and effective local and regional campaigns.
- Serve as an ambassador for Boundless at community events, presentations, and conferences.
Qualifications
Required:
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.
- 5+ years of experience in business development, sales, or account management.
- 5+ years of supervisory experience.
- Strong skills in financial modeling, budget management, and operations planning.
- Proficiency with CRM systems, project management software, and related technology tools.
- Exceptional communication, relationship management, and organizational skills.
- Valid driver’s license and insurable driving record.
Preferred:
- MBA, MHA, or related master’s degree.
- Experience in IDD, behavioral health, or healthcare services.
- Proven success leading business development and outreach teams.

Work Environment & Travel
- Remote role with regular travel across Ohio for meetings, events, and community engagement.
- Occasional overnight travel may be required.
- Standard schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 am to 4:30 pm, with some evenings or weekends as needed.
