Job Summary
As a Senior IT Business Analyst at Lucet, this position will play a key role in driving strategic, transformative projects within our Information Technology Service and Support. This role requires close collaboration with Lucet employees and our clients who rely on our systems and applications, helping to prioritize their needs and requirements. Partnering closely with leadership and internal stakeholders, this position will reshape our application portfolio, leveraging expertise in business process analysis, critical thinking, quality assurance, and solution design.
This position will be part of a team that is responsible for designing, building, maintaining, and supporting a wide variety of solutions with the support of cross-functional teams across IT, Transformation, and Business Operations. This position requires a deep understanding of both the business and the systems, enabling opportunities for this role to anticipate and address business effectively.
Essential Functions
- Business Analysis
- Elicit and translate business requirements via requirements gathering sessions and documents business requirements using appropriate formats for assigned initiatives/projects, quality improvements, service enhancements, cost reductions, and productivity increases.
- Conduct research and analysis on market trends related to business initiatives and emerging technologies providing recommendations to leadership.
- Facilitate User Acceptance Testing (UAT) including, but not limited to: Creating UAT plans, identifying UAT participants and managing an Issues Document to track identified bugs, priorities, and resolutions.
- Serve as Subject Matter Expert on at least two products supported by development teams to be able to provide in-depth training/overviews of the product and influence the long-term vision of the product in collaboration with the product owner/manager/director through analysis of prospective enhancements.
- Lead Joint Application Design (JAD) sessions to drive dedicated and cross-functional teams towards solutions for single and multi-platform initiatives
- Conduct research and analysis on healthcare and user data to inform decision making and strategy.
- Independently ensure thorough, logical, and aligned analysis work by reviewing and driving team member's analyses.
- Documentation
- Create project charters, business & functional requirements documents, gap and impact analysis documents, sequence diagrams, process diagrams and other related documentation to ensure project continuity and success.
- Develop use cases and stories to demonstrate business requirements/specifications to IT and business stakeholders, incorporating business partner's perspective during design reviews.
- Collaborate with IT leaders to identify process improvement opportunities and develop new or updated policy and procedure documentation.
- Adhere to standards, processes, and thorough documentation requirements to ensure quality in requirements, support, and service delivery.
- Provide task estimates for individual work tasks, evaluates actual outcomes, and provides assumptions while recognizing when to escalate for assistance.
- Use project and task management software to track software development progress and monitor production issues.
- Clarify problems with business partners to ensure solution/response/process/requirements are on track and aligned with expectations, while directing lower-priority items to appropriate channels
- Proactively propose solutions and ideas to address problems.
- Communication/Team Dynamics
- Collaborate with Business leaders, stakeholders, product owners/managers/directors, and IT leaders to understand and align business and IT strategies for IT product development.
- Serve as a relationship manager, resolving conflicts within groups and complex projects, driving accountability within project teams, and identifying opportunities to automate/streamline processes.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders and product owners/managers/directors to define, prioritize, and track annual road maps of product development initiatives.
- Engage with business stakeholders and product owners to guide project decisions; assess risks and facilitate prioritization of competing business needs.
- Facilitate strategic alignment between leadership, project stakeholders and project team members to support informed decision-making.
- Serve as a liaison between IT teams and business stakeholders and product owners/managers/directors to ensure that software products meet business needs, and the technical deliveries align with business requests/requirements.
- Manage company-wide communications regarding software enhancements and project statuses.
- Provide guidance and mentorship to Associate Business Analysts and Business Analysts, sharing knowledge, best practices, and industry trends to foster team development and enhance the skills of the team.

Job Qualifications
Required
- Bachelor's degree related to Analysis, Technical/Business Administration, or Communication fields
- 5+ years' related experience or at least 10 years Business Analysis experience in lieu of degree
- 1+ years' experience engaging with senior/executive leadership.
- T-SQL experience (writing queries, analyzing SQL data, etc.).
- Firm understanding of SDLC (Software development Life Cycle) in Agile and Waterfall methodologies.
- 5+ years' experience creating software development requirements documents.
- 5+ years' experience writing development tasks from requirements documents

Working Conditions

- Physical demands include constant ability to remain in a stationary position, move about inside an office or remote setting, able to communicate and exchange information with others, able to inspect information, and able to perform repetitive motion with arms and fingers.
- Mental demands include constant ability to interpret data, problem solve, make decisions, and organize and plan.
Salary and Other Compensation:
The starting salary that Lucet reasonably expects to pay for this position ranges from $102,000 - $126,000 annually, depending on circumstances including an applicant's skills, education/degrees, certifications, prior experience, market data, and other relevant factors.
This position is eligible for a bonus in accordance with the terms of Lucet's incentive plan based on both company performance and individual performance.
