Summary:
Guidelight Health is seeking a dedicated and experienced Occupational Therapist to join our multidisciplinary team on a part time basis (2 days a week / 8-10 hours a week total). The ideal candidate will be passionate about mental health and have a strong background in occupational therapy. As an Occupational Therapist at Guidelight Health, you will play a critical role in helping our clients develop the skills and strategies they need to live fulfilling and independent lives.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive assessments of clients’ physical, emotional, and cognitive abilities related to their mental health conditions.
- Develop individualized treatment plans to address clients’ specific needs, focusing on improving daily living skills, work-related skills, and overall quality of life.
- Implement therapeutic interventions using evidence-based practices to help clients achieve their goals.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, including psychologists, psychiatrists, social workers, and counselors, to ensure a holistic approach to client care.
- Educate clients and their families about mental health conditions, treatment options, and coping strategies.
- Monitor and document clients’ progress, adjusting treatment plans as necessary to ensure optimal outcomes.
- Provide support and guidance to clients in managing stress, anxiety, depression, and other mental health challenges through occupational therapy techniques.
- Participate in team meetings, case conferences, and continuing education opportunities to stay current with best practices in occupational therapy and mental health.
Requirements
Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program.
- Current licensure or eligibility for licensure as an Occupational Therapist.
- Certification from the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy (NBCOT).
- Experience in a mental health or partial hospital setting required
- Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively within an interdisciplinary team.
