The Role: The Strategic People Partner (SPP) is a trusted and proactive thought-partner, strategic advisor, and executive coach to leaders. This role also serves as a bridge between the People Team and Hazel’s leaders, working closely to connect practices and processes that will drive and enable team engagement and talent goals. The SPP will work closely with one or more department executives to evaluate, design and implement effective talent strategies that impact team engagement, professional growth, departmental performance and business outcomes.
The Strategic People Partner will play a large role in influencing the strategy and approach to the People Business Partnership function.

What You’ll Do:
- Leverage strong executive influence and business acumen to lead as a trusted business partner and advisor to key leaders across the company
- Design effective talent and people strategies and coach leaders to implement them with their teams, some of which will be pilot programs to evaluate impact and effectiveness, others will include more cyclical people programs and initiatives, including:
- Talent planning, retention, leadership/professional development, internal mobility, trainings, engagement surveys and subsequent action planning, compensation reviews, incentive programs and performance management programs
- Develop actionable talent insights through data reports, skills assessments and analytics tools you build to proactively create the appropriate talent strategies that will enable business success for the team – ensuring the right talent and capabilities are in the right roles to drive business results
- Partner with leaders and the People Team to optimize organizational design; connecting future priorities with current talent needs, capabilities and headcount budget.
- Collaboratively problem-solve and implement solutions that drive team engagement and talent decisions
- Negotiate and resolve employee-relations conflicts that may lead to disciplinary action; balancing what is best for the team member, manager, department and company.
- Partner with People Operations and Legal Team to balance compliance requirements with agile, creative and flexible solutions that successfully accommodate business needs and manage acceptable risk
What Excites Us:
- 8+ years experience as People Team Partner or Business Partner for a rapidly growing organization, with direct experience engaging with multiple levels within a company. Experience leading operations or other support functions in high-growth environments is a plus.
- Established partnerships with executive-level leaders, with a history of building consensus, coaching, guiding and navigating diverse personalities and perspective through change
- Demonstrated ability to both build and deliver people programs that support business objectives, particularly with respect to talent management, performance, compensation and/or engagement
- Complex problem solving skills; adept in collaborating with high levels of business acumen
- Excellent analytical skills, with demonstrated ability to use data to extract insights and inform decision making
- BA/BS degree; Master’s degree a plus
Total compensation for this role is market competitive, including a base salary range of 125,000 to 145,000, 401(k) with a 100% employer match for contributions up to 4% salary, high quality medical, dental and vision coverage, 15 days of paid-time off and 10 paid company holidays, and a broad range of other benefits.
