About the Role
Lyra Health is looking for a Variable Compensation Manager to support our GTM compensation programs.
As an individual contributor, you will play a key role in administering Lyra’s variable compensation program. You will work closely with cross-functional partners in Finance, Accounting, GTM Operations, Analytics, HR, and other teams to ensure scalable and accurate GTM compensation systems and processes.
This role will administer incentive plans, inquiry management, system development and effectiveness reporting.
Responsibilities:
- Data Management: Oversee and ensure that the data feeding variable incentive models and plans are accurate. This involves working with sales, customer success, and pricing operations teams to help audit and ensure customer, price, and date information accuracy.
- System Management & Tech Integration: Collaborate with tech and analytics teams to configure and optimize the tech stack related to compensation. Develop tools and calculators that translate business metrics into compensation outcomes, ensuring processes are efficient, accurate, auditable, and timely.
- Statement Processing: Oversee the Administration of monthly, quarterly, and semi-annual sales incentive plans with key stakeholders to ensure accurate and timely performance calculations, guarantees, spiff bonuses, and sales compensation payouts.
- Audits: Oversee the recurring audit of commission statements before the release of payments, ensuring data integrity and accuracy of plan calculation. Ensure compensation processes are designed to meet audit requirements and that any calculations are fully replicable/traceable.
- Exception Handling: Manage and integrate exceptions into variable plans and ensure these exceptions are accurately reflected and managed within the overall compensation framework.
- Quality Assurance: Track and monitor for potentially systemic errors and individual errors within the compensation processes. Implement checks and balances to promptly identify and address any discrepancies or issues, ensuring the integrity of the compensation data.
- Redundancy & Institutionalization: Ensure that compensation processes are institutionalized and not dependent on any single individual. Establish systems, documentation, and cross-training to ensure that the absence of any team member does not compromise the functionality or integrity of the compensation system.
- Manage Communications: Manage communications with payees related to statements, ensuring clarity and timely responses to any inquiries or discrepancies.
Qualifications:
- 8+ years of experience in variable compensation and sales/revenue operations.
- Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Finance, HR, or a related field.
- Proven experience in designing, implementing, and managing sales or variable compensation programs, preferably within a high-growth go-to-market team.
- Analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex sales data, determine trends, and draw valid conclusions.
- Knowledge of relevant compliance and legal requirements about sales compensation.
- Proficiency with software tools related to variable compensation (CaptivateIQ, Salesforce, Tableau and Excel)
- Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with a diverse group of stakeholders, including senior leadership.
- Ability to problem-solve and make informed decisions, especially in high-pressure situations.
- An understanding of the broader go-to-market strategy and how compensation drives sales behavior.
As a full-time Variable Compensation Manager you will be employed by Lyra Health, Inc. The anticipated annual base salary range for this full-time position is $106,000-163,000. The base range is determined by role and level, and placement within the range will depend on a number of job-related factors, including but not limited to your skills, qualifications, experience and location.
At Lyra, base salary is only one aspect of an employee’s total compensation package, which additionally may include discretionary restricted stock unit awards, comprehensive medical and dental coverage, and retirement benefits. This role may also be eligible for discretionary bonuses.
