About The Role
Headway is scaling our health plan partnerships across the US and we’re hiring an Associate Principal, Payer Partnerships, to both support our continued growth and lead innovation with strategic partners in 2024 and beyond. Reporting to our Principal, Payer partnerships, you’ll work cross functionally with internal teams (Strategy, Product, Operations) to drive new business growth and ensure ongoing success in our strategic health plan partnerships, while also deepening external payer relationships to identify new product opportunities and drive further alignment. You will:
- Be responsible for new business pursuits and long term management of health plan partnerships with some of the largest health plans in the US
- Navigate contract strategy and renegotiations to optimize partnership structure and success
- Build and grow relationships with health plan operations teams and leadership
- Leverage data to generate insights and identify new opportunities for partnership growth
- Manage executive steering committees and serve as the face of Headway
- Collaborate with cross functional, internal stakeholders to deliver insights to inform product and operations strategy
You will love this role if:
- You have a minimum of 8+ years of experience in the healthcare space, preferably in roles within Customer Success, Business Development, or in Strategic Customer-facing roles

Compensation and Benefits:
- Salary information is based on a single salary target per role and is differentiated based on geographic location (Group A, B, or C)
- Group A: $200,000
- Group B: $180,000
- Group C: $160,000
- Examples of cities located in each Compensation Grouping:
- Group A = NYC, SF/Bay Area, LA Area, Seattle, Boston, Austin, and San Diego
- Group B = Chicago, Miami, Denver, Washington DC, Philadelphia, Atlanta, Minneapolis, Nashville, Sacramento, Phoenix, and Portland
- Group C = All remaining cities
