We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Director of Finance to oversee the financial operations and strategy for our international business. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills, extensive knowledge of international financial regulations, and a proven track record in financial planning and analysis, budgeting, and reporting. This role requires a strategic thinker who can drive financial performance and support the growth of our global operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Financial Planning & Analysis
○ Lead Lyra International annual budget process & partner with Global Head of FP&A to deliver a global consolidated budget. Provide rigorous justification for key revenue, gross margin and operating expense drivers.
○ Lead quarterly budget vs. actuals analysis for Lyra International on a monthly basis & partner with Global Head of FP&A to deliver global consolidated BVAs. Expose driver-level variances vs. budget and identify one-time vs. recurring portions of variance.
○ Actively monitor key revenue & expense drivers, and proactively escalate to Finance & International Leadership if International business is Off Plan.
○ Partner with Global Head of FP&A to deliver full year reforecasts, and recommendation re: adjustments to budget as needed to manage to plan.
Financial Reporting
○ Partner with Accounting to support accurate and timely financial reporting for international entities, adhering to local and international accounting standards (GAAP/IFRS).
○ Support the development and implementation of transfer pricing policies to ensure compliance and optimize intercompany pricing strategies and tax efficiency.
Strategic Decision Support
○ Partner with Go-To-Market to set pricing for international new sales & renewals, balancing profitability targets and market dynamics to make high-quality pricing decisions.
○ Lead international M&A execution, including due diligence, financial modeling, and integration.
○ Lead Lyra International’s annual long-range planning process, inclusive of recommendations around market & services expansion, M&A strategy, and pricing.
○ Provide ad hoc decision support for clinical hiring, supplier renegotiations, etc.
Team & Corporate Governance Leadership
○ Manage and develop a high-performing International Finance team, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
○ Serve as business partnership lead for President of International & sit on Lyra’s International Executive Committee.
○ Manage relationships with external shareholders for International subsidiaries, and represent Lyra on Boards, as needed.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
- 8+ years of progressive experience in finance, with experience as a Finance functional owner building & leading a high-performing team.
- Strong background in international finance, including financial regulations (GAAP and IFRS), experience with multi-currency operations, and familiarity with various international tax regimes.
- Proven experience in financial planning and analysis, budgeting, and reporting, including proficiency in financial software and ERP systems (e.g., Netsuite).
- Strong strategic thinker, with the ability to understand & balance priorities across functions to recommend the best course of action for Lyra.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills, including the ability to prioritize and balance multiple deliverables with competing timelines in a dynamic environment.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills; cultural sensitivity to collaborate effectively with global cross-functional teams.
- Proven success developing and/or improving processes, with a desire to inspire change across the organization.
- Proactive self-starter with exceptional follow-through and the ability to work well independently with minor supervision.
Desirable
- Advanced degree (CA, CPA, MBA, etc.).
- International M&A experience.
- Experience working at a global mental health and/or global benefits business.
