What You’ll Be Doing:
The Contract Management Associate will be a key member of the Contract Management & Implementation (CM&I) Team within Insurance Operations. This role will manage high-impact payor contracts, drive process improvements, and act as a subject matter expert on payor contract management and implementation. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of payor contract and fee schedule management with experience managing and developing payor relationships. Additionally, the candidate will have a proven ability to enhance and streamline operational workflows.
Key Responsibilities:
Contract Management and Implementation:
- Own the implementation of newly executed payor contract data, ensuring all relevant contract details are captured and maintained accurately within internal systems.
- Drive implementation of best practices for contract review, organization, and documentation of newly executed contracts to ensure payor compliance.
- Provide guidance to other team members on interpreting complex contractual language and any reimbursement structure ambiguity to ensure that Grow is able to maximize collections for newly launched payors.
- Proactively lead audits of existing payors for missing information and to validate accuracy for internal and cross-functional use.
- Maintain accurate LinkSquares Governing Summaries by proactively seeking and loading new payor files (contracts, provider manuals, payor newsletters, reimbursement policies, etc.).
- Resolve complex rate discrepancies, collect missing fee schedules, and address incorrect payor data elements in a promptly manner.
Payor Communication and Coordination:
- Serve as a primary liaison for payor contract escalations, ensuring issues related to payor networks or reimbursement discrepancies are addressed efficiently.
- Work closely with internal teams to proactively flag potential payor compliance issues and mitigate risks.
- Maintain and optimize our payor contact list, ensuring accessibility and accuracy across teams.
Rate Management & Optimization:
- Lead efforts to document, analyze, and optimize rate management processes for improved accuracy and revenue optimization.
- Implement a quality control process to ensure all uploaded rates align with contract terms and regulatory requirements.
- Own the rate discrepancy process to identify and correct any issues caused by process errors.
- Work cross functionally to communicate any rate compliance issues not associated with load errors.
Project Leadership & Cross-Functional Collaboration:
- Drive key initiatives related to contract execution, rate implementation, and payor partnerships, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
- Collaborate with RCM, Payor Success, and Strategic Partnerships teams to optimize workflows and enhance payor contract outcomes.
- Provide strategic recommendations to leadership on process and strategy improvements.
The salary range for this position is $90,845 - $118,000 USD (dependent on geo location).
You’ll Be a Good Fit If:
- 3+ years of experience in insurance operations, contract management, or payor relations within a healthcare setting.
- Deep understanding of insurance contracts, payor fee schedules, provider reimbursement models, and regulatory compliance requirements.
- Proven experience managing complex projects and cross-functional initiatives with multiple stakeholders.
- Analytical mindset with the ability to review, interpret, and improve rate management processes.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to engage directly with payors, internal teams, and leadership.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to identify and resolve rate inconsistencies, contract misinterpretations, and implementation gaps.
- Proficiency in Google Drive, CODA, JIRA, Slack, Retool, and other contract management tools.
