About the Role
InStride Health is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Instructional Designer Lead to join our dynamic team. As a key member of our Learning and Development team you will play a crucial role in designing, implementing, and managing learning initiatives, primarily supporting our community of providers (psychiatrists, therapists, and exposure coaches). The ideal candidate has a strong background in online course creation and project management with experience in learning management systems (LMS).
Key Responsibilities
- Content development and curation:
- Collaborate with subject matter experts to develop engaging and interactive learning content.
- Define learning objectives, write course descriptions, and design and record supporting media, videos, and presentations.
- Curate and organize existing content to optimize learning pathways and enhance user experience.
- Partner with clinical leadership to integrate live content with asynchronous content to create a seamless learning experience.
- LMS administration:
- Support the day-to-day operation and administration of the LMS, including uploading courses, content, and resources, managing users and groups, customizing reports, and optimizing workflows.
- Ensure the integrity and accuracy of learning content, user profiles, and reporting functions within the LMS.
- Project management:
- Create and maintain a comprehensive e-learning project plan including objectives, dates, deliverables, and responsibilities.
- Provide other project and admin partnership and support to the clinical product team as needed.
- Technology integration:
- Stay abreast of emerging technologies and trends in digital learning to enhance the functionality of the LMS.
- Integrate multimedia elements, interactive assessments, and other engaging features into the e-learning modules.
- Training and support:
- Provide training and support to employees and stakeholders on the use of the LMS and digital learning tools.
- Troubleshoot technical issues and collaborate with IT support to resolve any system-related issues promptly.
- Performance analytics:
- Develop and generate regular reports on key learning metrics, usage patterns, and learner performance.
- Use analytics to identify areas for improvement and recommend enhancements to the digital learning programs.
- Compliance and quality assurance:
- Ensure that digital learning programs comply with industry regulations and organizational standards.
- Conduct regular quality assurance checks to guarantee the accuracy and effectiveness of learning content.
What You Need to Succeed in the Role
- Bachelors or masters degree in education, instructional design, instructional technology, or a related field.
- Minimum of 2-3 years in creating and implementing e-learning content.
- Knowledge of and ability to use software for graphic design, presentations, and/or video editing essential. Advanced skills in interactive e-learning content or rapid animation software are a plus. (Could include but not limited to: TechSmith Camtasia, Articulate 360, or Vyond)
- Strong project management and organizational skills.
- Hands-on experience working with and/or implementing LMS software.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills within and across multidisciplinary teams.
- Ability to be flexible and work well both independently and as part of a collaborative, cross-functional team in a fast-paced, mission driven environment.
- Interest and/or background in behavioral health is a plus.
