About the role
The Head of Creative leads in-house, agency, and freelance creatives within Brand Marketing, ensuring compelling, consistent, and strategic brand expressions. This role evolves Equip's visual and verbal identity, drives campaigns, elevates creative output, and collaborates cross-functionally to drive growth, awareness, and perception while managing resources efficiently. A visionary with strong operational strategy, the Head of Creative values experimentation and proactively seeks innovation.
Responsibilities
Lead & Inspire: Manage and mentor a team of writers, designers, and a creative coordinator.
Creative Vision: Refine and evolve brand expression across all channels—digital, social, video, app, events—balancing conceptual thinking with executional efficiency.
Operational Strategy: Build and maintain scalable creative processes, systems, and tools that drive efficiency, accountability, and quality across creative projects.
Project & Resource Management: Strategically organize and allocate creative resources based on team capacity, budget, timelines, and business priorities. Ensure that the right people are focused on the right work at the right time.
Big-Picture Thinking & Detail Execution: Translate high-level business and marketing strategies into cohesive creative campaigns while managing timelines, feedback loops, and production details to bring ideas to life.
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with Marketing, Commercial, Clinical, and Product teams to align creative direction with audience insights and strategic objectives.
Quality Control: Review and approve creative work to ensure consistency, originality, SEO alignment, and on-brand execution.
Perform other duties as needed.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in related field or equivalent experience.
10+ years of experience in creative roles with at least 3 years in a leadership capacity.
Proven success directing creatives across design, copywriting, and brand development.
Demonstrated ability to lead both high-level creative thinking and hands-on execution.
Strong portfolio showcasing brand evolution, data-informed creative campaigns, design systems, and cross-channel work.
Experience developing and optimizing creative processes and team operations.
Experience with and understanding of SEO best practices to generate content that performs well in search.

Physical Demands
Work is performed 100% from home with no requirement to travel. This is a stationary position that requires the ability to operate standard office equipment and keyboards as well as to talk or hear by telephone. Sit or stand as needed.
