About the Role
As our Regional Medical Director at Rula, you will play a pivotal role in advancing our mission of making mental health care accessible and effective for everyone. You will report to the National Medical Director and function with a high degree of independence, leading a team of virtual, California-based Nurse Practitioners, practicing MDs/DOs and Supervising Physicians on the Psychiatric Services team. You will facilitate the rollout of new psychiatric & clinical programs, training, and quality initiatives for the California psychiatry practice in collaboration with Business, Legal, and Operations leadership. You will provide clinical leadership and mentorship for your clinical teams, maintain a culture of transparency, accountability and quality, and serve as a point of escalation for patient care issues related psychiatric services, identifying and solving root cause issues if and as they arise.

Required Qualifications
Board certified / board eligible MD or DO in General Adult Psychiatry
An active license in good standing in California
A minimum of 5 years of direct clinical practice post-graduate training
A minimum of 5 years in clinical leadership that includes overseeing licensed psychiatric clinicians including both ANPs and MD/DOs
Preferred Qualifications
Child and Adolescent trained
Board certification in Child and Adolescent psychiatry is preferred
Healthcare startup experience
Experience in leading and supervising in a remote telehealth practice is preferred.
Strong communication skills that can bridge the gap between clinical and business parties to find the right solution
