Summary:
As the Behavioral Health Administrative Assistant, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring that all patients and visitors receive exceptional service and support. You will be the first point of contact at the front desk for individuals seeking mental health treatment, providing them with information, assistance, and guidance as needed.
Responsibilities:
- Greet patients and visitors with warmth and professionalism upon arrival at the facility.
- Manage incoming calls and inquiries, providing accurate information and directing calls to the appropriate staff members.
- Schedule appointments for patients and coordinate with clinical staff to ensure smooth transitions between appointments.
- Verify patient insurance information and assist with billing inquiries as needed.
- Maintain a clean and organized reception area, ensuring that it reflects the welcoming atmosphere of Guidelight Health.
- Assist with administrative tasks such as filing paperwork, managing patient records, and updating databases.
- Collaborate with clinical staff to address patient needs and concerns in a timely and empathetic manner.
- Adhere to all company policies and procedures, including confidentiality guidelines and HIPAA regulations.
Requirements
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor's degree preferred.
- Prior experience in customer service or front desk receptionist role preferred.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with individuals from diverse backgrounds.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to multitask and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and basic computer skills required.
