The Role: Sr. Billing Specialist

What You’ll Do:
Billing & Claims Mastery:
- Be the go-to person for all things billing—from accurate claims submission to tackling denials, you’ll own the process.
- Ensure fast, accurate claim submission and work to maximize reimbursements.
Innovation & strategic Leader:
- Report findings and trends directly to leadership, presenting recommendations that can impact the whole company.
- Lead the day-to-day operations of the billing team and mentor junior members on best practices.
- Bring your creative problem-solving skills to the table. Identify inefficiencies, streamline processes, and work closely with leadership to innovate and improve.
Compliance & Process Guru:
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA and federal regulations, while also keeping documentation sharp and organized.
Customer Hero:
- Offer stellar support to patients and providers, explaining billing and insurance details with ease.
The Experience We’re Looking For:
- 3-5 years in medical billing, with telemedicine in mental health experience required.
- Experience in a fast-paced startup environment is a plus!
- A strong understanding of EHR systems, ideally Healthie or comparable
- Experience with other software tools we use including Candid, Medallion, Quickbooks, Google Suite, Slack would all be nice to have.
- Knowledge of healthcare regulations, including HIPAA (Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act), is necessary to ensure compliance and protect patient information.
- Deep knowledge of mental health billing codes, procedures, and regulations.
- A problem solver with leadership potential, ready to take on new challenges.

The starting salary for this specific position is $65,000+ depending on background and experience.
