The Role: 1099 Billing Specialist

What You’ll Do:
Billing & Claims Mastery:
- Be the go-to person for all things billing—from accurate claims submission to tackling denials, you’ll own the process.
- Ensure fast, accurate claim submission and work to maximize reimbursements.
Compliance & Process Guru:
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA and federal regulations, while also keeping documentation sharp and organized.
Customer Hero:
- Offer stellar support to patients and providers, explaining billing and insurance details with ease.
The Experience We’re Looking For:
- 3-5 years in medical billing, with telemedicine in mental health experience required.
- Experience in a fast-paced startup environment is a plus!
- A strong understanding of EHR systems, ideally Healthie or comparable
- Experience with other software tools we use including Nirvana, Candid, Medallion, Quickbooks, Google Suite, Slack would all be nice to have.
- Knowledge of healthcare regulations, including HIPAA (Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act), is necessary to ensure compliance and protect patient information.
- Deep knowledge of mental health billing codes, procedures, and regulations

The hourly rate range or this specific position is $30-35 depending on background and experience.
